St. James Charity Initiatives

We believe, as Christians and as responsible citizens of the world, it is our duty to help people in need within all our capabilities.

On the same note, it is also equally important that our next generation understand the value of the fortunes they have in their lives and embrace the value of helping those who are less fortunate.

Our Initiatives

Keeping this in mind, we have started the following initiatives:

Initiative 1

Church Budget for Charity

The Church, as a whole, sets aside a budget from its revenue every year to help those in need within our community and beyond.

Initiative 2

Morth Samajam Collections

The Morth Samajam (St. Mary's Women's League) collects money from different sources and events to help those in need through dedicated charity events.

Initiative 3

Sunday School Piggy Banks

Kids are given piggy banks to collect money on an ongoing basis. These funds are used to organize charity events as part of the Sunday School program, with the children's direct physical participation.

Why We Give

Christian Duty

Giving to those in need is a core expression of our faith and our calling as followers of Christ.

Community Responsibility

As responsible citizens of the world, we are called to serve our local and global community.

Teaching the Next Generation

We instill the value of generosity and gratitude in our children so they grow up understanding the importance of helping others.
